Overview
Students should be able to safely express their racial/gender/religious identity at school. Dress codes, however, don’t always support that ideal.
The ACLU of Texas wanted to address this by investigating ~1200 school districts’ dress codes Their research team compiled a data set that flagged all the different types of discriminatory language they uncovered. Additionally, a sample of districts shared data on how they enforce dress codes with them.
What we did
Moksha Data Studio brought ACLU's data to life, by first investigating and revealing insights, and then visualizing those insights in a series of easy-to-read, novel visualizations.
