Overview

The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant and enduring impact on the employment and economic stability of millions of Houstonians.

In response to this hardship, the City of Houston and Harris County—in collaboration with Baker Ripley and Connective—launched the COVID-19 Rental Assistance Program to support Houston renters.

What we did

Moksha Data Studio helped this group of government and nonprofit partners understand, visualize, and communicate the effectiveness and equitability of their program.

Visitors to the dashboard are able to explore 1) the social vulnerability of Census tracts in Houston, 2) the aid distributed to each Census tract, and 3) the places where the program was most effective and equitable.

Our final dashboard was primarily used among decisionmakers internally, but is publicly available on our website.
